Bartlett High’s Academic Team was doing well and had made it to the ‘elite eight’ as Coach James Cacy referred to it, until they were defeated by Faith Assembly Christian School (FACS) on Monday, Feb. 22, ending their season.
Cacy says that he is proud of his team for progressing as far as they did.
“Making it to the ‘elite eight’ of the Knowledge Bowl is not an accident,” Cacy said. “It is from hard work inside and outside of the classroom.”
Cacy also says that it was a very close match, which could have gone either way. The teams were tied several times throughout the face-off.
Cacy would like to thank the teachers and staff at Bartlett for their hard work and dedication to teaching these students.
“They succeed because your passion installs a passion in them to know more about the subject(s),” Cacy said, addressing the team’s teachers.
Cacy says that he is very proud if his team’s success this season.
