Sweet new restaurant makes smooth transition

Spending so much time in the same places seems to bore most teenagers, so why not try something new? Dj’s Smoothies is colorful and bright, and with free wi-fi connection, it makes a great place to chill with friends, do homework, or just relax. Dj’s menu features a variety of beverages and food items.
At Dj’s Smoothies, the variety of fruit-filled, low-fat includes flavors such as strawberry, banana, peach, mango, and many more. Although they are low-fat, they are packed with flavor, but are not as sweet as the sugar-filled treats most teens consume. Smoothies are 100% fruit and juice, though some have low-fat yogurt added in for extra creaminess. For a little extra, Dj’s also offers a few supplemental add-ins, such as creatine and Hydroxycut. The supplements are supposed to add extra benefits such as more energy, fiber, or fat-burning compounds. Smoothies come in a handy to-go cup so it is easy to simply grab one and go.
They also serve food, such as pizza, paninis, wraps, fruit, muffins, and cookies. The cookies include combinations of oatmeal, chocolate chip, and macadamia nuts.
Food and smoothies combos are now priced as low as $4.99. Since a smoothie by itself is priced between $3-4.50, it is obvious what a great deal this is.
The upbeat and up-to-date music guarantees teens will enjoy themselves while hanging out. The free wi-fi connection allows customers to bring a laptop and get online during their visit.
Dj’s is a sanitary and well-maintained place, but it is a bit small. However, Dj’s is a peaceful, happy and heartwarming environment.
Our very own sophomore, Corrissa Dugan, works at Dj’s smoothies. “My job is really easy. I make smoothies, make food, and serve it to people. My boss’s name is April Martin. She’s really nice, and she’s laid back and cool,” Dugan said. The employees are just as colorful as the décor, and are cheerful and courteous. The service is swift and on task.
Dj’s smoothies is open Monday through Saturday from 10a.m. to 8p.m. The Dj’s promise states,” If you are not fully satisfied with your smoothie, we will gladly prepare you another one or refund your money.”
Dj’s smoothies is a great place to hang out, eat and try a really tasty smoothie. Everyone at Dj’s smoothies is excited and looking forward to seeing new faces in their store.
